[podcasters] How to delete / change iTunes RSS feed

Back in December the RSS feed on my podcast was changed (beyond my
control).

Since them I've tried deleting the feed (it's no longer on my server),
updating, submitting a new feed (iTunes says it's already there), but
no matter what I do, the only podcasts displayed are the ones prior to
the date the feed changed.

If your using PodPress, you should just need to update the PodPress
settings.

I used the feed validator through Podpress and it cuts off the last 4
digits of the rss feed, thus the feed becomes invalidated. How do you
get the last 4 digits back in? If I add back the 4 digits the feed
validates with two errors, and they are things that I've not done (and
it's something I know I've not done.)

I have no idea if these are related. I went into itunes and requested the album art. The next day it was in iTunes. Go figure...

Two things may cause the issue:
1) My understanding is that it has to be a jpg and NOT a .gif
and
2) If you are using Photoshop, be sure you are using the "Save for
web" choice rather than "save as". The latter adds a lot of meta junk
to the image that iTunes doesn't like.

I had that happen once. Then I remembered I forgot to optimize the image.
It was huge. I suspected it was the file size that was the problem, so I
optimized it and waited. I don't know for sure if that is what the problem
was, but it is showing up for me now. How big is the image that you have
(file size)? Perhaps it is worth a look.

The "album art" doesn't show up where, exactly? If you mean on the
directory page, that's not technically album art. I've observed that
brand new podcasts sometimes take longer for the images named in the
<itunes:image> element to show up than other podcast details. Perhaps
the graphics are retrieved by a different server on a slower update

Most likely, I would bet that it's a latency issue. The audio has to
get from your mouth, through the mic, the interface, the computer,
and back out through the interface to your headphones. It takes a
little bit of time even if you're not doing any processing. If you
are processing it, it will take even longer. There's a decent chance

[podcasters] Help with Adobe Audition 2.0

Guys I'm getting a 1/2sec delay in my headphones when trying to record
a show with Adobe Audition 2.0. I'm using a Toshiba laptop w/ Xp sp2,
1.6ghz, and 3gb ram. I have also tried it on another pc and the

I thought it was just me, but I just spoke withsomeone who has the same problem. You submit a validated feed to iTunes, the graphic shows up on the submission page, when the podcast shows up - NO ALBUM ART. In my case I went into feedburner, doublechecked the URL of the image, its fine. Anybody know the cure?

What I'd like to see is an Internet Safety badge. I figure something like
that, teaching the basics of passwords, purchasing stuff online and not
sharing information online would be a better badge to have than a generic
computer badge. It'd probably teach most of the scoutmasters something too.

No, I have not heard of a podcasting merit badge in the works,
although they do have a journalism merit badge.
They finally got the computers merit badge out of the 60's
when they updated it a few years ago.

Every time I try to set up the Pod-press flash player, nothing
happens. The only results are a little button thing that take you to
another page, and does not open up inside the post itself.
So I found a flash player called "audio-player." It works okay, but
its made two players right on top of each other. It wouldn't be so bad

I think that you are in a great place to start earning revenue. I'll
let others discuss things like joining a podcast network or
contacting specific companies, which are great options. People who
sew also have many other interests, so you may be surprised at how
valuable your show is with a current listener base of 1000.

That's all good information, but at your audience size and given the
sizes of the business you'd be targeting, I'd try establishing a
personal relationship and not making it too formal. Send a friendly
e-mail to the yarn shops you already frequent, say you've ordered from
then and you love their product and service, and you'd like to help

I think I've reached an audience large enough now to seek a sponsor. I
run a knitting podcast (Knit Spirit) with a subscriber base hovering
around 1,000 and I do a weekly show, so about 4,000 downloads a month.
Would that be too small? It's a focused audience, so I think an online
yarn shop might be interested in advertising with me.

This question just came up a week ago. The short answer is that the
iTunes directory updates on its own arcane schedule, and sometimes
cannot be moved by any mortal power, whether you do the manual ping
thing or not.
But subscribers to your show in iTunes aren't bound by the directory.
They'll get your episodes regardless. So don't stress about it.

page I am not sure if you can use the service with Podshow. You will
have to ask podshow support if the support third party stats systems. We
