Hi Dee, this is Marshall Kirkpatrick from SplashCast
(http://splashcastmedia.com ). I'm really glad you like SplashCast's
functionality. As for alternatives, if Blip isn't quite what you're
looking for, Brightcove, VSocial and Magnify.net are all worth a look
too. I don't know that any of them will offer you everything you're
looking for, perhaps others on the list here can think of someplace
that will.
As for the feed hijacking concerns - we did our best to respond to
those quickly and implemented a lot of changes in response to
feedback. A fair number of people were satisfied by our responses and
we've got a whole lot of podcasters participating now.
For follow up, see for example Randy Morin's post at "Destroy All
Malware" titled "SplashCast stops hijacking RSS feeds" at
http://snipurl.com/1ore4
See also these posts on our blog and the comments in response:

Finally, here's a google search of our site for all mentions of the
podcast support feature's launch if you want to see the conversation
fleshed out all the more: http://snipurl.com/1oreh
If you or anyone else on this list has any more questions about this
or any other part of SplashCast I hope you'll let me know. We're
having a great time over here helping people publish their media
(including in Facebook now!) and we'd love to see more people from
this list participate.
best wishes,
Marshall Kirkpatrick
